making life miserable

 Even on days when you think there is nothing more that can be said or done to drive up your blood pressure, you hear talk of renaming Lake Ontario to Lake America and threats to demolish the JFK Center. Absolute childish nonsense that must be created to annoy people and nothing else because it simply brings no value to anyone anywhere. And, even if you renamed a lake that is half in Canada and half in the USA… why on earth would you choose such an uncreative and unimaginative name as ‘Lake America’? I am honestly stupefied. In ordinary times it would be considered digging one’s own political grave, but when every crime seems to be forgiven and attempts to block legitimate voters and voting methods appear to be encouraged, we have a desperate fight on our hands. It troubles me daily to think where we could have been now under Kamala Harris. We were heading towards such improved global relationships and trade along with progressive thought and support at home… but it’s all been broken apart. And, perhaps, that was necessary for people to see this mess. 

                  And so, it is Friday… take a deep breath and go for an early morning swim. 06:30am and the water is fresh. The weather is cooling ever so slightly but the change of sunlight means that the water is cooling down at its own pace in the way that trees begin to boast their autumnal coats even while the heat reeks of mid-summer. 

                  Then comes the night… mind blown… fury rising… until a bar, a beer, a thumb in the palm with fingers wrapped around the thumb. But so many stupid things were said. It’s a day and a night to forget. But, make no mistake, people do not care about you. The current president does not care about you. I see people with little children, and I feel an overwhelming sadness and sense of sorrow for them because they have to try to raise their children in this world of pure hatred. Building management remove the cat’s bowls… I confront them angrily… this is today’s world. Why do we have to make life more difficult for everyone just by being a F******KING AA******HOLE? Why do they steal cat’s bowls? Why do they rename historical lakes? Why are they so miserable?

  It’s difficult to stop laughing these days. Well, we alternate between crying and laughing. First, I see that Elon Musk’s Grok has proved that Big Foot exists, then I see a video about ‘six proofs that Jesus never existed.’ My main thought is… why do people even care? My Theory is that there was probably a radical progressive gay guy who was preaching love and forgiveness, then the Republicans of the time put him to death in the streets for challenging their wealth and stone age beliefs. Of course, it is obvious to any scholar of the twenty first century that the bible is a metaphorical work of fiction… but it is certain that, like any work of modern fiction, the characters and events are based on real events. Someone who preaches freedom of love, freedom of religion, forgiveness, tolerance, acceptance… maybe they even supported the idea of windmills… is certain to be killed by the guys who think they are the toughest and the strongest, and the only ones worthy of having choices....

their envy

  They drive home from their 16-hour shift in the office and pull into the carpark… then they sit in their cars, engine running, lights on… they sit and sit. What are they doing? It becomes clear, they simply don’t want to go home. They are afraid of the boss all day in the office, and they are afraid all night of the lack of privacy they have in their home. So, that period in the car park after parking their car is the only period of freedom that they have in their day.                     Couples always want single people to date and ‘find a partner’. That is because they want single people to be as miserable as they are. They see the happiness and contentment of a single person and their envy makes them want to destroy it.
